The Womanhood Sunshine Coast

Six week programs to connect, honour and celebrate you mama.

Welcome to The Womanhood.

The Womanhood is a series of morning and afternoon circles for mothers, whether you have been mothering for weeks, months or years. Taking place on Gubbi Gubbi / Kabi Kabi Country at the magical Sunshine Coast Hinterland venue, The Wonderdome, we will gather once a week over six weeks to honour, celebrate and nurture you mama, the magic and wisdom you hold within you and how you move into your power.

The Lullaby Ensemble

Six week program beginning

Wednesday 17th February

Join The Mama Circle for this six week song circle creating sublime music, connecting with other mamas and being nurtured and nourished.

The Lullaby Ensemble is a song circle for new mums and their pre-crawling babies. Its an opportunity to create the most beautiful sound and make space for your own wellbeing.

Whether you’ve always been a singer or have never sung before, this group is for you. This is a mum’s group with a difference. We’ll learn a new lullaby each week from folk traditions around the world as well as making time for meditation, sitting in circle to talk about motherhood and all accompanied by a nourishing morning tea. This is a space to create sublime music, find your tribe and fill your cup.

You spend so much time as a mama nurturing your baby and meeting their needs. But your needs are important too, mama. We’d love you to join us and let us nurture and honour you.

ReRiting Motherhood, Reclaiming You

Six week program beginning

Wednesday 17th February

Do you feel like you lost yourself when you became a mother?

That you weren’t prepared for the seismic shift that takes place?

It is a momentous transformation that starts with pregnancy, and does not end, for we are forever a mother. In our current society, the value we place on motherhood and this transition has been completely ignored, misunderstood and dismissed.

But the experience of it is very real.

Welcome to Matrescence: the transition to and through motherhood.

Just as adolescence is the transition from child to adult, matrescence is the transition from woman to mother. And understanding this is the missing link to feeling happy and whole again.

Part course, part circle, part ceremony, Re-Riting Motherhood will guide you through matrescence in a safe and confidential space with other women, where you can give yourself permission to honour this rite of passage whether you have been mothering for months or decades so that you can do the important work of reclaiming you.

Babes in arms are welcome to all events, and we ask that the circles are free from older children so we can focus on creating sacred space for ourselves as women.

We want to ensure that primary caregivers are able to attend our events and have arranged for Jayde from Young Souls Nurtured to look after your bigger little ones in the beautiful Wonder Dome garden, for just $20 a session.

Jayde says ’my intention for ‘Young Soul’s Nurtured’ is to spread and sew as many seeds of mindfulness as possible for kids and teens. Using the Eastern wisdoms of Yoga I desire to teach important life skills and offer the tools needed to grow, nurture and yield these seeds that each child can be empowered to become the gardener of their own mind and thoughts’. Pretty beautiful, hey?

Please add childcare on your order form to book your childcare spot as spaces are strictly limited.

The Venue

Our Sunshine Coast circles take place at the magical Wonderdome in North Arm. Nestled in the bush, this beautiful space holds such incredible energy, even driving into the property makes your shoulders drop and your heart feel warm.

We are gifting one free ticket at each location, to a mama who could otherwise not access this incredible program due to finances. No questions asked. Discounted tickets are available for Black Women, Indigenous Women and Women of Colour. Please use the codes BIPOC to receive 20% off the program price.

‘It was so empowering to connect to my voice again. I’m far from a singer but I love the creativity and the power of using the voice. It always ended with a big snooze for the twins and always set me up for a good day.’

The circles of women around us weave invisible nets of love

That carry us when we’re weak and sing with us when we’re strong
